INDUSTRIAL ELECTRICIAN

Starkstrom Scotland are currently looking to recruit a qualified electrician with experience in commercial/industrial electrical installations to add to their reputable team.

The ideal candidate will have experience of electrical industrial environments, three phase/single phase installations, cable containment systems (including ladder rack/cable tray/trunking) as well as power cable and control cable application installations ,experience in electrical installation certification and inspections would be beneficial but not essential.

Qualifications should include as a minimum; SVQ level 3 in electrical installation, 18th edition wiring regs City and guilds or other industry recognised, valid ECS gold card.

Company van with fuel card provided as well as all power tooling and specialist tooling required for specific tasks, Company provided uniform and PPE.

Overtime working available where required and on a per contract basis.

Pay as per SJIB wage rates and 32 days holiday as standard.

Must have valid UK Driver’s License.

Starkstrom operate throughout the central belt of Scotland, with key clients in primarily Renfrewshire/North Ayrshire and the greater Glasgow area and some also further afield.

Panel Wireman

  • To undertake the mechanical and electrical manufacture of control panels.
  • Follow general arrangement and electrical drawings
  • Lay out of components following manufacturing templates
  • Drill, punch, and cut the control panel enclosure door and back plate
  • Fit components with suitable fixtures
  • Label all components
  • Wire between components and identify with wire numbers
  • Determine suitable wire size and type; following company manufacturing guidelines
  • Finish products to quality standards set by the company
  • Report any design, component, or shortage issues to the Production Manager/Senior wireman
  • Adhere to all health and safety requirements of the environment and role.
  • Ensure products are manufactured within the given time-scale and in-line with the production schedule.

Basic requirements:

  • Ability to work as part of a team and under supervision of senior wiremen and to meet deadlines
  • Good communication skills
  • Good attention to detail
  • Driving license essential
  • No previous manufacturing experience necessary
